FWS - Advancement, Student Office Assistant -21-22

The University of Pikeville (UPIKE), the Leading University in Central Appalachia is actively seeking a Student Office Assistant for the office of Advancement.

Responsibilities:

1. Professionally interact (face-to-face and via phone) with executive donors, high perspective donors, alumni, trustees, and other dignitaries. 2. Assist with special events, meetings, fundraisers, and mailings. 3. Provide administrative high quality support, help manage social media, and prospect research. 4. Gift acknowledgment to donors at a high level. 5. Accurately update records, calendars, contact information for constituent database. 6. Learn about CASE standards and regulations governing contributions/IRS guidelines 7. Support staff and team with other duties as assigned

Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable with public speaking and community interaction, be dependable and interact as a functioning member of the Advancement team. Student must complete training in FERPA, confidentiality, how to exercise discretion, research databases and communicating information (answering phones, greeting guests).

Work Schedule: The priority work schedule is our open hours and during special events. Work hours can be flexible to accommodate the students' class schedule: • Sunday: No hours • Monday-Saturday: varies depending on workload
