FWS - Center for Student Engagement, Student Lounge Attendant - 21-22

The Student Lounge Attendant is responsible for supervising the patrons of the Student Lounge, along with keeping equipment clean and in proper working order. The main responsibilities of the Student Lounge Attendant are to assist the students, handle immediate first-aid and emergency situations, and help ensure cleanliness, along with answering any questions by our students. Additional responsibilities include dealing with any concerns that our students may have and providing Student Lounge Orientations, as needed. The Student Lounge Attendant must be able to follow directions and perform duties assigned in a friendly and firm manner while communicating with the Director of Student Activities and Leadership Development.

Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for student lounge supervision. 2. Maintain a clean and organized Game Room, including cleaning tables, arranging chairs, dusting equipment, cleaning bulletin and dry erase boards, organizing games, and office equipment. 3. Enforce Game Room policies and procedures with all guests and visitors. 4. Report problems with equipment in a prompt manner. 5. Apply first aid as needed. 6. Monitor lounge for proper use of equipment. 7. Complete attendant logs daily. 8. Lead student lounge orientations. 9. Answer any and all questions related to the student lounge, UPIKE, or able to connect them with someone who can answer the questions more confidently. 10. Provide secondary assistance with Student Activities and What's Up Wednesday events. 11. Other duties as assigned that are relatable to student activities, the student lounge, or the arcade area.

Qualifications: • A background or general knowledge of customer service, previous experience in dealing with guests and visitors, and have interpersonal relationship skills. • Preferred to have current CPR and First Aid certifications; certification available through UPIKE at no cost to the workers.

Preferred Skills: • Computer knowledge, i.e. Word & Excel. • Attention to detail. • Written & verbal communication. • Customer focused. Work Schedule: The priority work schedule is our open hours and during special events. Work hours can be flexible to accommodate the students' class schedule: •

Sunday-Saturday: 10:00 am - 10:00 pm
