FWS - Pikeville Medical Center, Visiting Volunteer - 21-22

Responsibilities: 1. Notify Director of Guest Services of any absences. Sign-in and out when reporting to and leaving volunteer assignment. 2. Wear volunteer uniform and PMC issued identification badge. 3. Maintain confidentiality at all times and do not discuss any information learned while on-site to anyone out of the unit, department, or Pikeville Medical Center. 4. Clerical duties as requested i.e. filing, boxing, labeling files, copying, scanning documents.

Preferred Skills: • Computer skills i.e. Microsoft Word. • Strong active listening abilities. • Must be responsible and mature. • Ability to walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time. • Confidentiality. • Efficiently operates office equipment. • Listens and follows directions.

Work Schedule: The priority work schedule is our open hours and during special events. Work hours can be flexible to accommodate the students' class schedule: • Sunday - Saturday: 8:00am - 8:00pm Work Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job: • Heat • Cold Physical demands included here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: • Keyboarding • Pushing up to over 50 lbs. (Wheelchairs) Additional Comments: Will work with student's schedule.

Volunteer Services department oversees these positions and provides hospital required testing of workers.

Number of Positions: 9-10           Expected weekly hours:  5 -20

This position is off campus:  walkable distance from UPIKE, a car is not needed although helpful in inclement weather

Pay Rate:  $8.25
