Head Coach - Women's Soccer

The University of Pikeville (UPIKE), the Leading University in Central Appalachia is actively seeking a Head Coach for women's soccer. UPIKE is an NAIA School that competes in the Mid-South Conference. The central focus for the Head Coach is to manage and oversee the women's soccer team of the University of Pikeville by performing the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit student athletes through both on-campus and off-campus visits. 
  • Schedule and conduct all game practices and games.
  • Perform all necessary duties for game management.
  • Maintain and prepare practice field.
  • Maintain and prepare all equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Relationships:

This position requires daily contact with supervisor, coaches, co-workers, student athletes, and parents in order to give instruction and transmit information about the Athletic programs at the University of Pikeville. These relationships are maintained through e-mail, telephone, text messaging, and person-to-person contact. 

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  2. At least 10 years experience playing and coaching soccer. 
  3. Must be familiar with operating office equipment, e.g. computer, printer, fax machine.
  4. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  5. Must be able to perform simple calculations.
  6. Must be familiar with conducting research on the Web, as well as creating online travel arrangements.
