Summer 2022 - IWS - KYCO, Student Ambassador

Responsibilities:

  1. Peer Leaders (PLs) will provide support ot orientation programs for health professions students.  This includes direct one-n-one coaching of first year students and facilitation of orientation activities. 
  2. Minimum expectations of the position include but are not limited to:  Participate and assist with the organization and implementation of orientation activities. Tasks may include:

    1. Assist with check-in of students

    2. Conduct campus tours/directional information to campus offices and facilities
    3. Respond appropriately to first year student questions
    4. Facilitate icebreakers, discussions, etc.
    5. Assist with equipment distribution

  • Good academic standing with no course remeditations
  • Good KYCO judicial standing with no outstanding disciplinary or professional violations
  •  Positive and enthusiastic attitude about UPike, KYCOM, and KYCO
  • Ability to be reliable, responsible, relatable, confident, and flexible.
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge and use of Power point, Social Media & New Technology,

Work Schedule:

The priority work schedule will vary depending on need..  

  • Sunday – Saturday: varies depending on workload

Attend and actively participate in one day training. Actively work as a team member with other Peer Leaders, UPike staff and faculty. Must be available for the following dates:

Number of Positions:  5     Approximate # of hours:  20-30

Pay Rate:  $12/hr
