Production Assistant

The Board of Directors of Pike TV, Inc., located in Pikeville, KY, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Production Assistant to assist in the production of Pike TV content. Duties include filming and editing Pike TV programming both in-studio and on location. In addition, maintaining a professional and operable studio, maintaining Pike TV social media pages, and brainstorming new and innovative content for Pike TV as well as general assistance with various day-to-day operational duties.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in filming and editing of Pike TV Programming both in-house and on location. 
  2. Assist in maintaining a professional and operable studio. 
  3. Assist in maintaining Pike TV social media pages. 
  4. Assist in the creation of new Pike TV Programming.
  5. Other duties as assigned. 

Relationships:

This position requires daily contact with co-workers, student workers, supervisor, and the community. These relationships are maintained through e-mail, telephone, written, and person-to-person contact.

Education/Skill Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required. 
  • Education in film, communication, or related field is strongly preferred. 
  • Software skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) program proficiency and Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.) program proficiency required. 
  • Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc. 
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Ability to research on the internet. 
  • Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs., reach overhead and climb ladders. 
  • Must be able to provide own transportation. 
  • Willing to work weekends and nights.
