Summer - IWS - KYCOM, Admissions, PEPP Counselors (Undergraduate)

Responsibilities:

  1. Candidates selected will be responsible for supervising 3 students each that are attending PEPP camp from 6/12 through 6/17.  Candidates will make sure their assigned PEPP campers attend all meals and daily activities as scheduled.  Candidates will stay on campus overnight with PEPP campers to ensure personal safety and that all rules are followed.  Candidates will escort campers to and from all scheduled activities.  Candidates and campers will be assigned individual rooms.  Candidates will share information regarding their OMSP experiences and their path to medical school.  Candidates will share their experiences with PEPP and their UPIKE student experiences.  Candidates will report to Michael Kennedy, Director of Medical School Admissions.                                                                                                                                      

Computer Skills:  Word, Excel, Power Point, Social Media & New Technology, 

Work Schedule:

The priority work schedule will vary depending on workload  

  • Sunday – Monday

Work Conditions:  Office environment

Physical Demands:

Keyboarding, Reaching/handling, Stoopin/kneeling, Crouching/crawling, Pushing up to 20 lbs, Pulling up to 20 lbs, Lifting up to 20 lbs, Carrying up to 20 lbs

Must be a current UPIKE or KYCOM student registered for fall classes

Number of available positions: 4       40 hours per week

 Position will only work one week and pay out lump sum upon completion of the camp.

Pay Rate:  $600/stipend
