FWS - Band, Student Assistant - 22-23

Responsibilities: 1. Organize and maintain the music library and update a database of its contents. 2. Prep and return music/folders that are used in rehearsals and band events. 3. Mark all UPike property for identification and inventory. 4. Assist with preparations for band events to include: Band Days, MAWS, Tuba Christmas, Concert Band Rehearsals and performances, Pep Band Rehearsals and Performances, etc.

Work Schedule: The priority work schedule is our open hours and during special events.

Work hours can be flexible to accommodate the students' class schedule: • Sunday-Saturday: Varies depending on workload

Additional Comments: Looking for student assistance with organizing and maintaining the library and instrument inventory as well as assisting with the many events we have coming up; Band Days, MAWS, Upike Rocks, MEDS, Tuba Christmas and more. The need will exceed the availability of the student with no question, but every little bit will help. Having instrumental band experience will be a significant strength for the opportunity because they will already understand concepts such as knowing how to work with music literature, score order, instrumentation, how a rehearsal works, and instant identification of items.
