IT Temporary Summer Position

The University of Pikeville (UPIKE) is actively seeking an IT Temporary Summer position to assist with Events for the Information Technology department. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Removes and replaces toner/ink cartridges in printers.
  2. Assist with computer imaging.
  3. Assists techs when needed.
  4. Perform termination and testing of new and existing cabling (CAT5/CAT6).
  5. Maintaining working components through repair or replacement.
  6. Assisting call-ins or live chat with technical difficulties.
  7. Assisting end-users with hardware and software challenges.
  8. Perform various tasks as needed in the office.
  9. Perform inventory and asset management.

Preferred Skills:

  • Computer knowledge, i.e. Word, Excel, Social Media & New Technology & Printer Toner Installation.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong active listening abilities.
  • Written & verbal communication.
  • Willingness to learn new things.
