FWS - Center for Student Engagement, CAB Student Leader, Social Media - 22-23

Responsibilities: The Student Leader for Social Media will be in charge of our social media accounts.  They will help with social media branding for CAB and also reporting from our traditional and special events throughout the year.  The Social Media will also use judgement on social media trends that create engagement opportunities with our students.  Social Media will also assist with putting marketing materials up on social media as well.

Qualifications: • A background or general knowledge of customer service, previous experience in dealing with guests and visitors, and have interpersonal relationship skills. • Preferred to have current CPR and First Aid certifications; certification available through UPIKE at no cost to the workers.

Preferred Skills: • Computer knowledge,  Word & Excel. Power Point, Social Media,& New Technology • Attention to detail. • Written & verbal communication. • Customer focused * Strong Active Listening skills * Willingness to learn new things * .

Work Schedule: The work schedule varies as it is dependent on the number of events we have during the week.  On average each event will have a set up time of an hour

  • The work schedule varies as it depends on the number of events we have.  On average we have 3-5 events with each event  being 3-4 hours.  1hour pre-event setup – 1.5hrs event time, and 30-1hr of clean up.  Special events will be closer to a 4-6 hour event.  Those special events are 2-3 per month. The social media would work during those events in creating hype before and during the event via social media.  More hours can be gained as they can assist with the events.

Weekly work hours:  average 4-6 hours a week work including work before and during events and activities

Loculation:  Student Lounge and event spaces on and off campus utilized by student activities
