Open Rank Professor of Mathematics

The University of Pikeville is seeking applicants for a full-time, nine-month faculty appointment in Mathematics starting August 2023. The position's focus will be to provide dynamic teaching and support for the University's Mathematics program at the University, a school of opportunity known for supporting students at every juncture of their education and beyond.

This faculty member's primary responsibility will be to teach mathematics courses to students in their first and second years. Rank and salary will be based on qualifications. Applicants must have a solid commitment to teaching in a small university setting and the ability to work effectively with others in a collegial environment dedicated to student learning.  

An ideal applicant will possess a passion for excellence in teaching. The position's teaching responsibilities will include mathematics courses for majors and non-majors. A graduate degree in mathematics, teaching mathematics, or a related area with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate work in mathematics is required. Teaching experience in mathematics is expected.
