Graduate Assistant - Marketing and Communications
The University of Pikeville (UPIKE) is actively seeking a Graduate Assistant for Marketing and Communications. The Graduate Assistant will provide direct support for the Marketing and Communications department. This is a 20 hour per week position. Schedule is flexible to accommodate academic coursework.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the creative development of videography.
- Assist with digital marketing.
- Attend staff meetings and provide input.
- Assist with print shop duties.
- Complete projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Relationships:
Position requires daily contact with co-workers, students, supervisor, and other employees of the institution. These relationships are maintained through e-mail, telephone, online meetings, and person-to-person contact.
Education/Skill Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree and be accepted into graduate program at UPIKE.
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must have excellent writing skills, critical thinking skills, and be self-directed.
- Must be familiar with conducting research.
- Must understand the importance of keeping all information confidential.
Work Conditions:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

**Graduate Assistants receive tuition waivers of up to 6 hours of classes per semester, housing & a meal plan. However, if the GA does not reside on campus, then he/she will receive a monthly stipend in lieu of room & board. The meal plan covers the actual number of weeks that classes are in session during the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
