IWS - KYCO - Optometry Camp Counselors - Summer 24

Responsibilities:

  1. Attend all the seminars, and the social activities on Wednesday and Thursday nights
  2. Help camp faculty facilitate sessions and workshops
  3. Lead small groups made of 2-4 campers
  4. Serve as time keepers and help with transitioning campers between seminars
  5. Serve as overnight counselors in the camp-assigned dorms
  6. Conduct tours of the optometry school and help with crowd control
  7. Serve on the student panel and answer camper questions

Work Schedule: The priority work schedule is during times campers are on campus, including overnight.

Must be a KYCO student

Number of students to hire: 10 

Location:  Camp is located on KYCO/UPIKE grounds

Supervisor:  Dr. Josephine Ibironke

Dates for camp (required for work):  June 12 - 14 2024

Pay: 

Level 1: (involvement in all camp activities) $250/stipend

Level 2: (involvement in some camp activities) $100/stipend
