IWS - KYCO - Classroom IT/AV Liaison IWSKYCOITAV - Fall/Spring 24/25
This position is separate and distinct from the student elected position. You must apply for this position and work with Teddy Murphy.
This position is paid, reports to Teddy Murphy in Information Technology and A/V and must attend all classes.
Responsibilities:
This internal position will assist faculty with the appropriate and effective use of all educational technology during class times. The IT Liaison will be trained on all classroom and methods technology applicable to the KYCO curriculum by the IT department. The IT Liaison will ensure the proper functioning of technology equipment including (but not limited to): • Lecture Capture • Projector screen operation and the use of projectors • Smart Boards • TV Screens • Camera systems in the Methods Lab • VR Magic • Virtual Anatomy Lab computers • Technology in Booth Auditorium o Lecture Capture o Projectors o Screens o Other equipment as necessary • Troubleshooting technology issues in HPE, Booth, and possible other campus classrooms as needed. • All other technology equipment that faculty use in the teaching process.
Minimum Qualifications: • The successful candidate must have an interest in technology and be adept at quickly learning new software and comfortable using a variety of platforms. • Prior experience troubleshooting technological issues is highly desired. • Must commit to being in class • Must be able to receive and offer guidance • Must have good rapport with KYCOM faculty • Must have a positive attitude and work well with diverse personalities • Ability to handle frustrating situations calmly The pay for this position is $500/semester
