FWS - Innovative Learning - Innovation Support Specialist FWSINNOVSSPEC - Fall/Spring 24/25
The Office Assistant will provide essential support in various administrative and research tasks within the office of Academic Affairs and Innovative Learning. This position primarily involves assisting in the coordination of professional development sessions, conducting research tasks, and offering general administrative support to facilitate the efficient operation of the office.
Responsibilities:
Supporting Professional Development

Assist in setting up logistics for professional development sessions, including scheduling, room reservations, materials preparation, and attendee communication. (C, P, CT,L)

Research and compile resources on emerging educational technologies and pedagogical practices. (CSD, CT, T)
Research and Administrative Support
-
Conduct research tasks as assigned by the AVPIL, such as gathering data, compiling reports, and summarizing findings. (CSD, CT)

Assist in literature reviews and data analysis related to academic affairs and innovative learning initiatives (CSD, CT)
Communication and Outreach

Assist with creating the monthly Innovative Learning newsletter (C, TW, CSD, CT, T)
Special Projects Assistance

Provide support in special projects related to Innovative Learning into curriculum design and delivery, under the guidance of the AVPIL. (C, TW, CSD, L, T)
Qualifications:

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suit and Google

Ability to work independently and take initiative
Relationships:
Student employees will interact and/or communicate with the following: Faculty, staff, other departments
Computer Skills:
Student employees will have experience working with the following computer skills: Word, Excel, Social Media and New Technology
Other Skills:
Student employees will utilize these additional skills: Attention to detail, Strong active listening abilities, written & verbal communication, willingness to learn new things

Opportunities to work for the positions will typically have options take place on the following days and between the following hours. (Students are only needed some of the options of hours)
Options of days of the week: Monday-Friday
Options of hours of the day: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
