FWS - Registrar - Registrar Office Asst FWSREGOFFSTAST - Fall/Spring 24/25

  • Attend Front Desk and act as first point of contact for visitors and callers, informing students, staff, faculty and/or general public on office practices, policies, and procedures (CT, C, P , EI)
  • Assist with and contribute to events hosted by the department professional staff (C, TW, P)
  • Contribute to group and individual projects that benefit the office/department, such as gathering and analyzing data, social media and website development, resource development, internal development and education. (CT, C, TW, T)
  • Work independently and efficiently; use available resources to direct guests (CT,P)
  • Serve as receptionist: answer multi line phone, greet and direct visitors.  Superior verbal and written communication skills  (C, EI)
  • Make campus deliveries. Provide clerical support, proofreading, photocopying, and filing.  Work on additional projects as assigned. (TW)
  • Use MS Word, Excel, multi-line phone system.  Compile data using software programs. (T)
  • Prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines with successful completion of work. Ability to work inclusively in a diverse setting. (L, EI)
  • Maintain confidentiality, be punctual, communicate changes in work schedule in advance,. 
  • Effectively communicate your skills and availability to perform this job in your letter of application. (CSD)

Relationships:

Position requires contact with co-workers, supervisor, faculty, staff, students, prospective students, campus visitors, alumni and other departments.

These relationships are maintained through e-mail, telephone, or person-to-person contact.

Computer Skills:

  • Written and oral communication, organizational, typing, and critical thinking skills are necessary to perform job responsibilities.
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Telephone, Copier, scanner

Work Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the work conditions may include working around noise, humidity, dust, machinery, and light intensity

Physical Conditions:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job and include keyboarding, reaching/handling, stooping/kneeling, lifting up to 15 pounds and carrying up to 15 pounds.  This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
