Responsibilities and Career competencies:
Assist staff members and supervisors meet the mission and goals of the practicum organization through the provision of individual, family, group, organization, and community services and programs, as appropriate (C, TW, P, CSD, CT, EI, T).
✓ Utilize the Planned Change Process, strengths-based approach, and other relevant theories, processes, and models to assist individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities meet identified needs and goals (C, TW, P, CSD, CT, EI, L, T).
✓ Establish, initiate, implement, plan, and complete activities under the 9 competency areas outlined in the practicum learning contract that allow me to showcase and demonstrate appropriate professional behaviors (C, P, CSD, CT, EI, T).
✓ Contribute to individual and group projects that benefit the practicum site, such as creating/distributing surveys; developing and implementing appropriate UNIVERSITY OF PIKEVILLE Work Study Position Request Form groups/programs; gathering and analyzing data; creating social media calendars/posts; assisting with resource development; assisting with internal development; and meeting training and educational needs (CT, C, TW, T) ✓ Follow the NASW Code of Ethics and agency policy and procedures, including, but not limited to, confidentiality, privacy, conflict of interest, and social media policies (C, P, CT, CSD, T, EI).
✓ Utilize appropriate supervision and consultation and seek active feedback from supervisors (C, TW, P, CSD, CT).
