IWS - Family Connections - Student Leader Trainee IWSFRSTYRSLDTR - Spring 25
This position is designed to allow students to receive training and participate in planning for a variety of Summer 2025 and 2025-2026 student leadership positions including GROWL Leader, First Year Success Leader, Second Year Success Leader, Student Ambassador, Resident Assistant, and Student Leader Council, GROWL Leaders will meet in-person January-April

First Year Student Leader Trainee -

Communicate with training staff and peers regularly. (C, P, T)
Attend and participate in all trainings required. (C, TW, P, CSD, CT, EI, L, T)
Communicate with supervisor and work staff regularly. (C, TW, P, EI, L)
Practice leading small group engagement activities. (C, P, CSD, EI, L)
Research student programs from other institutions that may be implemented at UPIKE.(CSD, T)
Assist in planning and hosting events. (C, TW, CSD, CT, L)
Participate in teambuilding activities to develop a student leadership co-hort. (C, TW, CSD)
Learn how to share your “UPIKE Story” with prospective students/families and fellow students. (C, P, L)

Qualifications
- Be a positive, enthusiastic, school spirited and motivated student
- Earn a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
- Have completed FS 102
- Be enrolled as a full-time student for Spring 2025 terms
- Behavior/Conduct records in UPIKE Housing and the Student Conduct Office will be checked when making hiring decisions. These records may or may not affect the final hiring decision.

Work Schedule: 4 hours a month
