Work with Dr.  Jeffery Tyler Syck in the College of Arts and Science, division of Social Science

Responsibilities:

    • Collect and evaluate information from primary source materials from physical archives and online databases (C, CSD, CT, T)
    • Find and analyze relevant secondary source materials from the libraries and online databases. (C, CSD, CT, T)
    • Compile accurate records in shared databases. (C, TW, CSD, CT, T)
    • Communicate and collaborate with co-researchers to improve the effectiveness of research. (C, TW, P, CSD, CT, T)

Work Condition: Employee must have the ability to work with odors/smoke and Dust

Physical Demands:  Employee must be able to successfully perform keyboarding

Schedule:  Available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Hours per week:  6

Pay Rate:  $9.75 /hr

Supervisor:  Dr. Goetting

Location:  Armington Learning Center, 4th floor, Office # 416

This position will primarily be conducted on campus. However, the student may have the opportunity to research in archives off-campus. The main potential work environment variables that one encounters in archives include dust and odors from old documents and artifacts.
