The University of Pikeville seeks an experienced, visionary leader to serve as its Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs (ADCA) in the Tanner College of Dental Medicine (TCDM). The Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs is the chief clinical officer of the Tanner College of Dental Medicine providing leadership, strategic direction, oversight and management of all college clinics. The ADCA works closely with the University of Pikeville Administration, TCDM Dean, Chief Financial Officer, dental vendors and contractors to create and oversee student dental clinics and the pre-clinical simulation laboratory. The ADCA assembles a team and creates policies to ensure quality assurance, patient satisfaction, safety and compliance with regulations related to the college’s clinical facilities and clinical operations. In addition, the ADCA works with state agencies such as the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (Department of Medicaid Services) to ensure appropriate credentialing of faculty and reimbursement for services.
This role requires an innovative, collaborative and mission-minded leader who will work with Federally Qualified Health Clinics and other community partners to provide clinical education sites for dental students. The ADCA maintains oversight of on and off campus clinical locations and ensures compliance, safety and quality assurance in these locations.
The ADCA works closely with the TCDM Dean and the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs to revise the pre-clinical and clinical curricula as needed. The ADCA works closely with college leaders, faculty, and staff to ensure accreditation and ongoing compliance with accreditation standards.

The University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine (UP-KYCOM) is seeking individuals interested in applying for the Standardized Patient and Human Model Program on the school’s campus.
A standardized patient is a person willing and trained to portray an actual patient with a specific medical history and physical exam findings for the purpose of instructing health professional students. A human model is a person willing to serve as an actual patient for physical examination training by health professional students. You are not required to do both; you may choose.
Interested candidates for the Standardized Patient and Human Model Program should have flexible schedules, an ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and an interest in medicine and medical education.
