Description:

Must be a current KYCOM student in good academic standing.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct on-campus tours of KYCOM and UPIKE campus.
  2. Facilitate ZOOM (virtual) question and answer sessions for prospective students.
  3. Use effective, respectful, and positive communication skills appropriate for diverse students, faculty, and staff.
  4. Maintain regular, ongoing and consistent communication with the Director of Medical School Admission; and work collaboratively to provide appropriate guidance to prospective students.

  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Description:

Responsibilities:

    • Assist with grading assignments, quizzes, and exams for courses in criminal justice (T, CT, C).
    • Provide tutoring or academic support to students during office hours or scheduled sessions (T, CT, C).
    • Help manage classroom materials, including uploading assignments and readings to the learning management system (LMS) (T).
    • Facilitate classroom discussions, activities, or simulations as needed (CT, T, C, PS).
    • Support research projects under the direction of Dr. Hazlewood, including literature reviews and data entry (C, CT, T).

Description:

Responsibilities:

1. Inventory supplies and create list for restock CSD

2. Inventory contact lens fitting sets, scan for reorder, place orders as needed for lab CSD

3. Maintain google document of student data and assist with processing for CL orders for the lab CSD, T, CT

4. Create and maintain supply kits for use in lab CSD, T

5. Check in lenses and label them T, CSD

6. Keep track of lenses and supplies ordered P, T, C

7. Assist with ancillary testing as needed     C, P, CSD, EI

8. Clean, disinfect, inspect, verify and maintain contact lenses     CSD, T, CT

9. Sort and assign students to lanes for workshops and labs using excel or google sheets.     T, CSD, CT

There may be opportunities to assist with associated research and optometric testing as well as workshops. This position would be of greatest interest to an optometry or pre-optometry students.

The position focuses on developing hands-on experience in event setup, A/V equipment operation, inventory management, customer service, and effective communication skills.   2. Passion for Apiculture: Demonstrated interest in beekeeping, pollinators, and sustainable agriculture.
  3. Physical Fitness: The position involves outdoor work, including lifting beehives and bending while inspecting hives. Candidates must be physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions. Lifting up to 50 pounds as a team may be required occasionally.
  4. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is essential for accurate data collection and hive inspection.
  5. Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with the faculty mentor and other team members.

UPIKE is seeking students to participate in biological research funded by a National Science Foundation Grant. In this competitive position, student researchers will assist with ongoing research efforts in the fields of hydroponic agriculture, mycology (fungi), and molecular biology. While a background in the biological sciences would be helpful, it is not a requirement. We welcome enthusiastic applicants from all academic backgrounds and students will be given research training once accepted. This is a 12-month funded position, with online work available during summer/winter breaks.

  1. Enrollment in a College/University: Applicants must be currently enrolled as a college student, preferably in fields related to biology, agriculture, environmental science, entrepreneurship or a related discipline.
  2. Passion for Apiculture: Demonstrated interest in beekeeping, pollinators, and sustainable agriculture.
  3. Physical Fitness: The position involves outdoor work, including lifting beehives and bending while inspecting hives. Candidates must be physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions. Lifting up to 50 pounds as a team may be required occasionally.
  4. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is essential for accurate data collection and hive inspection.
  5. Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with the faculty mentor and other team members.
  6. Punctuality and Reliability: Be punctual and dependable in meeting work schedules and commitments.

Safety Conscious: Knowledge of safety protocols related to beekeeping or a willingness to learn and follow safety guidelines.

Applicant should not have a known allergy to bee stings. 

Student worker will be working with or interacting with faculty, staff, students, prospective students, alumni and campus visitors.

Description:

The student media assistant will support the Digital Media and MARCOM team efforts with an emphasis on photography and video needs.

Student will produce content relating to campus events, athletic events and general campus photography.

Student will support Director of Digital Media when needed on “Important” photoshoots and team media days.

Student will assist when needed on video projects. Student will assist with editing batches of photos from large photoshoots when needed.

 Responsibilities:

    • Assist Digital Media Director and Marcom Staff with efforts to promote campus student life (TW, T)
    • Photograph student sponsored events and assists with campus events shot by director of digital media. (White coat ceremonies, commencements, press conferences) (P, TW, T)
    • Works with MarCom content creators to create media projects/opportunities and support their needs with photo/video content (TW, C)
    • Photographs campus buildings and general stock photos of campus in various settings (morning, students in plaza, night, weather events) (L, T)
